Meet Justina, she is the founder of Digital Equity Africa, a digital inclusion consultancy providing specialised digital economy design, digital inclusion, and equity consulting solutions tailored for the Global South. Digital Equity Africa also serves governments, international organisations, corporate organisations and Africa’s tech ecosystem in the area of access to market as trade facilitation. Digital Equity Fund is set to go live in Q1 2025, a venture dedicated to powering
ideas that deliver Digital Inclusion in Africa using AI. She is a seasoned tech leader with an aggregate of 17 years of experience, spanning ecosystem building, innovation and digitisation, connectivity, investment readiness, government relations, investor relations, finance, growth, sales and partnership, and development assistance.
She is former Country Director at the UK Nigeria Tech Hub under the British High Commission where she did some amazing work including brokering a partnership with Google for Startups Africa to support women in technology with Three Million Dollars ($3M) in cloud credit and led investment readiness programs for female founders, all toward financial inclusion for women.
With over a decade in senior leadership, she has made contributions in companies like Tizeti Inc (wifi.com.ng), an infrastructure (Internet) service company that delivers last-mile internet access across Africa to underserved communities and middle-class households by delivering fibre internet. She led the growth team that managed Africa expansions as VP for Sales and Marketing.
She was also part of Decagon, a global digital talent production and placement institute that serves the African and global tech ecosystem, where she served as VP for marketing and grew into serving as VP for partnerships.
She brings a unique perspective to the tech landscape in Africa, especially in ecosystem building, gender and digital inclusion, as well as digital transformation. Some of her finest work in digital transformation includes: working with SMEs to create global digital demand, transforming customer experience through digitised complaint lodging and resolution at Tizeti, and supporting farmers in difficult-to-reach areas to receive digital training on feature phones, using USSD codes.
Justina is a TechStars Global mentor, where she is supporting startups globally with her deep startup and investment experience, especially with impact investing and inclusion.
She holds a B.Sc. in Mass Communication and an MA in International Relations from the University of Northampton in the UK and has spoken on international stages such as the UK, Algiers, Kigali, Kenya, South Africa and others.
Her passion for technology extends beyond her career. She is a career mentor and youth empowerment advocate who is dedicated to empowering young people and guiding them towards their full potential.
